We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Davenport and Catherine Bloodworth of Bright Culture as Community Consultants on the new Peatland Progress project.

Lisa said, "Bright Culture is delighted to work with The Wildlife Trust on this exciting project. We are looking forward to meeting local young people and adults and exploring their ideas in connection to the wildlife and conservation of the Great Fen."

Rebekah O'Driscoll, Communities and Wildlife Officer, Wildlife Trust BCN, said, "We are so excited about the opportunity the Peatland Progress project is giving us to meaningfully connect with young people, giving them a voice and hope for the future. We are very pleased to be working with Lisa and Catherine of Bright Culture who, with their wealth of experience, will enable us to gain an insight into how best to engage with this age group."

Peatland Progress: A New Vision for the Fens will tackle climate change, biodiversity loss and the anxieties of the next generation head-on through the purchase of a parcel of land, bringing together the north and south ‘halves’ of the Great Fen. By buying this land and creating new wetland habitat for wildlife, Peatland Progress will allow us to achieve a core purpose of the Great Fen, to buffer, protect and link our two precious fragments of fen habitat Holme Fen NNR and Woodwalton Fen NNR.
