Frequently asked questions

Can I take public transport to the reserves?

There are a number of buses that pass the Great Fen.

For further information visit the County Council web site at http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport
/bus_timetables/

Is there access for people with disabilities and pushchairs?

As the reserves are in the Fens, the terrain is flat. However, there are few boardwalks and paths may be bumpy from uneven ground or tree roots. The ground may also be wet. Because of this access for wheelchairs or pushchairs may be difficult. If you are visiting in this way, please get in touch with the site manager beforehand to check conditions. One of the key aspects of the Great Fen Project is the provision of quality access facilities for all people. Over the coming years you will see great improvements. For example, boardwalks, new paths and interpretation panels will all be provided.
