Holme Fen has full and free public access. There are a number of lay-bys along the two roads that cut through the nature reserve.
Woodwalton Fen also has full and free public access. There is limited free parking alongside the Great Ravely Drain, next to the reserve. Please be careful when parking and don't obstruct any farm tracks.
At the moment the rest of the Great Fen area is still privately owned farmland, other than the two nature reserves.
No. You can visit the nature reserves without having to book or notify anyone in advance. However, if you belong to a group or club it's probably best to ring in advance. You can call the Site Manager on (01487) 812363.
Both of the reserves have a network of paths. These are not waymarked, but you can download maps for the reserves from this website.
The Great Fen will provide a place for people of all ages, abilities and interests. As a visitor you could go to events, pack a picnic and just relax, take a boat ride, go for a walk, cycle, go fishing or canoeing.
