Come and join a team of volunteers engaged in recording and monitoring the wildlife of the Great Fen, including plants, insects, amphibians, birds and mammals.
This work helps us to establise base-line data and monitor changes across the Great Fen and fine-tune habitat management techniques. As we carry out restoration, the wildife is responding, and it is a very exciting and satifying process to be involved in monitoring the progress.
We combine the skills of natural history with existing ecological knowledge and a scientific approach. For more details please see the Wildlife Monitoring page.
Both experienced naturalists and those new to surveying and monitoring are welcome as training is provided. If you would like to find out more about becoming a Great Fen Monitor, please contact the Great Fen Ecology and Recording Officer.
