The Countryside Centre is a great place for young children to come and explore and discover their local wildlife, either for a half or full day visit.

This programme is tailored for early years and runs from April to September
The children will be immersed in the inspiring story of a tiny seed that grows into a majestic Oak and how the acorns make their way underground where the life cycle can begin again. They will take a short walk on the nature reserve discovering a real oak tree and looking for nature's treasures and colours to make their very own special crown. This is a fun-filled sensory morning specifically tailored for younger children building their imagination, communication and confidence.

Captain Fentastic Challenge (Wildlife Medley)
Science, Geography, Citizenship, Art and Design.
This day is tailored for Key Stage 1 children.
The children will be personally invited to the Great Fen by our superhero Captain Fentastic to help him discover what is living on the nature reserve at the Countyside Centre in Ramsey Heights.
The children will become wildlife superheroes in training and using their super senses on the nature trail learning how to develop their nature skills as their superhero quality.
An interactive day full of discovery and exploration of the habitats, plants and animals found on the reserve.
